If its Tuesday it must be Saint Maarten!

I hit the gym again at 7:30 for a class called Step, Jump and Pump - it was a fair bit more involved than the Morning Stretch - good times!  We enjoyed another breakfast in Blu and also got to see a lovely sail in to Saint Maarten.

The lovely waiters in Blu come around with a pastry tray in the morning.

Saint Maarten has an impressive port facility at the AC Watson pier and we got a few shots of all the ships in town with us that day.

The Norwegian EPIC pretty much dwarfs the Eclipse...I guess you get to do that when you can take on 4100 guests.

That's two Celebrity ships back to back, the Constellation and the Mercury.

It's the Disney Magic!  They were showing Disney movies over their pool.

Once we hopped across on the water taxi (such pretty blue water!) we went to do some wandering and shoppping.

The courthouse was pretty

Philipsburg has an impressive shopping strip.  The local delicacy is Guavaberry Rum, which tastes like red nyquil, but really perks up a pina colada!

One of the stores is that of the artist who created Yoda

He makes you pay to take pictures in the store proper, to support his museum development.
We headed back to the ship in time for a late lunch and admired our haul...
A new charm for my Diamonds Internataional Bracelet, and "free size" Tanzanite studs.  I decided to start a sparkly rock collection in St. Maarten as you can see.

Interesting condiments are everywhere in the carribbean!
I had to go to the napkin folding seminar in the afternoon.  It was amazing to see how fast and easily the waiters could do this...but I was building my skills...

Party Hat, for breakfast

Covern, for lunch

Bird of Paradise...not sure what this one was for.

Single Fan, for dinner.

Double fan, which they don't use on the ship because it takes too long!
We spent much of the rest of the afternoon people watching on the Epic (our balcony was facing theirs).  We won't be heading out on that one any time soon based on the number of screaming children we heard, the smoke we could smell across the pier, and what appears to be a waterslide to nowhere...The best part of this people watching was definitely when we were getting ready for sailaway - all aboard was 5:45, and eventually two girls came around the corner at about 5:55 taking pictures of each other, strolling and what not.  The ship honked its horn and they sped up...a bit.  We left Saint Maarten a little bit late, but the sailaway at dusk was beautiful!

I readied myself for the evening and went to see the show in the Theatre - EDGE.  Its a fairly random rock and roll show that includes singing, dancing, contortionists and acrobats. I got to the theatre 2 minutes before showtime and sat in the 3rd row...we never found serious crowds on this ship.
If I recall correctly this was to Fly Away by Lenny Kravitz
These guys were tap dancing to Don't Stop Believing
On my way back from the show, I stopped off to see the shopping guide one more time, and I ran across the fashion show, featuring guests as models and items from the high fashion shops on board.
The show was hosted by the on board acappella group Sound Decision
You go lady!!  Model!!
After another awesome dinner in Blu, we went to the Late Night Comedy Show with Jim McCue, and a bunch of drunk people, including one that referred to himself as V-Rod and he`s bringing paisley back, you`ve been warned.  The comedian did a really good job with a challenging crowd!  We then wandered the (quiet quiet) ship at 12:30 and happened upon a hot glass show they were doing for the staff (neat!) and made our way to sleepytime!

This is one of the largest mussels either of us has ever seen.
